I have sunk plenty of money in S8. I have no problem spending the money--I have a problem giving it to a jackass.

Well, well, well...
I finally finished reading this post, and my, my, my, lots of responses.
Two weeks ago, I traveled to Malibu with my twin sister to watch her boyfriend race for 200 hundred miles on his bike, and I shot a TON of super 8 plus 35mm still.
I didn't hesitate to take it to Walmart.
Im not sure of all the other places that process K40, but, I would like to know.
Im consider myself a serious person with my art, but...I guess I might hesitate to drop my film off at Walmart if I shot a short or a feature but...
hey
I use the extra money to buy more film, and support the cause of Super 8.
Buy the Film
Buy it when you can
Its one way of showing you want this medium to last.
Now I have to edit this bitch, and hope I dont ruin it.
late

By the way, Alex from Uk will be here Monday, so Im going to treat him to some awsome Mexican Food and a half gallon MARGARITA!
OY!

scott,
i took my first roll to walmart just last week. it's some macro footage of a large spider being eaten by ants/macro overcranked footage of raindrops on rosepetals. although this is not imperative footage, taking it to walmart makes me uneasy. those kids don't know diddley. and there's no box to check on the order envelope. i'm praying it actually reaches dwayne's.
that's why i said, 'serious' super8 users will not take their film to walmart. if this were a situation in which my reputation were at stake, i'd pay the extra $6 without hesitation.
